I never really believed in new year's resolutions. After a good hour of night call with my friend (and if you are reading this, thank you <3), I thought maybe instead of that, I can set grounds for 3 key principles I would want to hold myself accountable to. They are not complicated, just the following three:
1. Being open-minded
My friend reminded me of this last night. It is easy to get caught up in the cyclone of all things and become really narrow-minded. I think being open-minded is easy to say but difficult to act upon, especially when I would want to assume simplicity, stay within my comfort zone, and not be challenged.
2. Never give up, but know where to draw the line
Not all problems can be solved and I should not be doing everything I will want, but everything that I can.
3. Gain clarity
Nothing to elaborate on here, really. I will know this in its truest form when it happens - gradually.
Take heart, Hui.
Let it all in and let it all out 🌊
